Piston Valve

KL Piston Valve is basically Seat less and Glandless valve. The Sealing rings are the heart of the valves. They are made of KXGT , KXGT consists of graphite and tanged stainless steel between each layer of graphite.

The Klinger Piston valve works on the principle of Resilient rings in conjunction with a Metallic Stainless Steel Piston, that moves vertically between the rings. The shut off assembly consists of piston, two valve rings and a metal lantern bush. This sealing system gives a bubble tight shut off, equivalent to Class VI leak standards.

Application:

Critical and hazardous media, Steam, Thermic Fluid, Acids, Gases, VACUUM.

Material of Construction

Forged Carbon Steel 800# – Sizes 15mm to 40mm - SW (USN Model) & Threaded Ends (UMN Model)

Cast Carbon Steel – Sizes 15 to 200mm - Flange End ASA 150#, #300 & DIN std. (KVN Model )

Max Op Pressure – 55 Kg/cm2

Max Op Temperature – 425 Oc

Benefits:

·         Economic, easy to service

·         Absolutely leak-tight across the ports and to the atmosphere

·         No erosion of sealing surface

·         Compensation for Thermal Expansion with use of Belleville washer

·         Saves energy and does not contaminate the environment

·         Maintenance free

UKL Piston valves can be provided with additional feature like:

·         Regulating Piston/Lantern Bush; for Throttling operation

·         Extended Spindle: For Cryogenic application/Hot media

·         Heating Jacket: For Media that tends to solidify/crystallize at low temperature

·         Pneumatic, Hydraulic or Electrical Actuator: For remote operating of the Valves
