The Jacket covers the body from one flange to the other flange. Valve body is modified by adding oversize flanges. Eg: 2" x 3" Steam Jacketed Valve has the nominal bore of 2" and the flange size is 3". It allows enough space for bolting clearance after jacket fabrication on valve body. The valve is provided with 3 nozzle connection for inlet , outlet and drain of external media. Full Jacketed valves are used to handle highly viscous materials or materials that solidifies/crystalizes at ambient temperatures.
